Well Landon for a while now won't sleep through the night in his crib and hasn't been napping well there either so last night we took the twin mattress from the bed in his room and put it on the floor and he slept there last night, pretty much through the night! We put it on the floor because we were sure if he would be able to handle trying to get down if he woke up in the middle of the night. We put a gate on his door in case he did get up he wouldn't be able to roam the house he would have to wait on one of us. We figured we will try it again tonight and through the weekend to see how it goes before we "remove" his crib from the room. I'm just not sure he may be still too young but I guess they have to start sometime transitioning to a "big" bed. I just thought it would be closer to the age of 2.

I know what you mean about expecting to make the transition around 2. But if you think about it, as long as there are not comforters and pillows on it, it is really the same as his crib just in another form. If he sleeps thru the night I say... GO FOR IT!!! Yippeeeeee!
