I came across this website through another website, if that makes since. It is the American Academy of Pediatrics website but the topic I have the link for is Car Seat Safety. After reading the site page it makes me wonder if I should turn Landon back around in his seat. According to the website the child should remain rear facing up to the highest weight the seat allows. Most seats are rear facing up to 30-35 lbs. Landon is only 22 maybe 23 lbs. They say if you have a "convertible" car seat (one that goes from rear facing to forward facing you should stay rear facing until the weight limit. A lot of the people that wrote about the site stated that their child didn't turn to forward facing until they were 4 1/2 yrs old.
It just seems like there would be more of a standard set for the safety of our children, not the bare minimum. Well here is the link, check it out for yourself.

Nice article about safety seats, but it doesn't really say why they should stay rear facing until they reach the maximum weight/height for the seat. It just says it is best. It would be nice if they stated statistics about why it is best. Always something else to worry about.
I thought about that as well. It would be nice if there was a reason stated. I guess we will always worry!
