When I returned from Ireland I noticed that Harris Teeter was having their Triple Coupons again and that was going to end on March 31st. Well I actually didn't know there was triple coupons until Monday the 30th and I wasn't able to make my trip until Tuesday the 31st, the last day. I figured I would still take my chances to see what what left on the shelves. Well, pretty much everything that was a deal was gone. I did however manage to find a few things.
I got:
1 bag Nestle Toll house morsels
2 packages of Lipton noodles
1 tube of Colgate toothpaste
1 travel size tide
1 bag of Birds Eye Steam Fresh mixed veggetables
1 blistex lip balm
My Total was $13.83
VIC savings $ 1.19
Coupons $10.98
Total OOP $ 1.89
Not bad considering there wasn't anything left on the shelves when I went in the evening on the last day!

I would say that is $2 well spent!!
I went from 100 to 50 but that was with buying things not on sale and with only 25 cent coupons... paper towels, toilet paper, dog food, and laundry detergent.
I think cutting your bill in half is great shopping/couponing! You did great, unfotunately when you have to buy those things it is hard to find a coupon that is more than .50 cents to make it a great deal, but hey every little bit saved counts!
